Congratulations to the BES and BMS Battle of the Books teams for competing against schools from across the east-central region in this year's Battle of the Books competition! The competition took place on Monday, March 24, at Hi-Plains School.
The BES 3rd-grade team placed 3rd out of sixteen in the 3rd-5th grade division, and the 4th-grade team worked hard to showcase their book knowledge in some close competitions. The BMS team took 1st place in the 6th-8th grade division!
Each team read a total of 36 books this year and was quizzed on details, answering in the form of the book title and author. Teams started preparing for the competition in the fall, dedicating months to reading and studying. All three teams have worked incredibly hard—not only reading their books but also preparing for the competition alongside their teammates.
